Anasazi (?AD to Modern Times). The Anasazi tradition flourished in the Northern Southwest and subsumes the old Basket-maker-Pueblo developmental scheme. Such major developments as Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde with their magnificent pueblo architecture lie within the Anasazi tradition.
